International Graduate Admissions
Graduate admission is intended for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and are interested in earning a Master or Doctoral degree level.
Graduate Application Requirements
For all applicants
- All international students applying for graduate study must complete the online application.

The admission requirements vary depending on which program you're applying to. Find the requirements for your chosen program below.
College, University, or Institutional Transcripts, Mark sheets, Grade sheets, etc.
Original academic documents with either an official school seal or stamp, or attested verified copy by an authorized agency, or evaluation company is accepted. We can begin an evaluation with unofficial documents, but official documents will be required at enrollment.
- Students must have a Bachelor of Nursing degree from a nationally accredited or recognized nursing program, or a bachelor’s degree in any field for the RN-to-MSN option.
- Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher or prior completion of a master’s degree in another field.
- Registered Nursing Licensure or the international equivalent

Financial Statement of Support
International students are required to show evidence that they, their parents, or a sponsor have the financial ability to pay for tuition and living expenses during the time that they study in the U.S.
Financial ability is usually demonstrated by submitting a bank statement accompanied by a letter of support from a sponsor, or the completed by the sponsor. This statement must show enough funds to cover all expenses for the first year of study.

Applicants must meet OCU's English proficiency requirements.
English Test Score Requirements, Listed by Program
- All Master's and Doctoral programs in Nursing: TOEFL (IBT) 83 with Speaking section score of at least 26, IELTS overall 7.0 with minimum of 7.0 Speaking section and at least 6.5 in other sub-bands. Duolingo with a minimum score of 105.
- No provisional Admission
- Conditional Admissions: Students that do not meet the English Proficiency requirements can apply for conditional admission to study intensive English at the ELS Language Center located on OCU’s campus. Students that are conditionally admitted will receive a conditional admission letter from OCU but must apply for an I-20 from ELS.
- All Master's programs: TOEFL (IBT) 79, IELTS 6.5 overall with no sub-score below 6.0, PTE 53, Duolingo 95, successful completion of ELS 112 or highest proficiency level at approved language school.
- Provisional Admission: TOEFL (IBT) 61, IELTS 6.0 overall with no sub-score below 5.5, PTE 48-52
- Conditional Admissions: Students who do not meet the English Proficiency requirements can apply for conditional admission to study intensive English at the ELS Language Center located on OCU’s campus.
