Laura Kariuki - BFA Acting '20
Congratulations to Laura Kariuki (BFA Acting '20) for her role in the Academy Award nominated film A Complete Unknown. This docudrama by Searchlight Pictures centers on Bob Dylan's performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. The film, directed by James Mangold and featuring Timothee Chalamet and Elle Fanning, was released in December 2024 and is nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Bryan Bauer- BFA Design and Production '16
Congratulations to Bryan Bauer (BFA D&P '16) for his position as Production Stage Manager for the Broadway play Oh, Mary. The play is running at the Lyceum Theatre through Summer 2025.
Ty Fanning - BFA Acting '15
Congratulations to Ty Fanning (BFA Acting 2015) for his role in the upcoming Broadway production of Othello featuring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Kenny Leon. The play is set to open at the Barrymore Theatre on Feb. 24, 2025!
Lakshmi Manchu - BA Theatre '09
Congratulations to Lakshmi Manchu (BA Theatre 2009) for her appearance in Netflix film, Pitta Kathalu. The film premiered on Netflix in February 2021 and is the streaming platform's first Telugu original film.
