Ұ University’s Meinders School of Business was ranked sixth highest in the country in the College Consensus’ for Non-Business Majors. OCU’s ranking was one place higher than last year.
College Consensus combines ratings from publishers and students to come up with an average score. Publisher ratings come from annual national ranking outlets including U.S. News & World Report and the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings. The student reviews come from reputable college search services like Cappex and MyPlan.
College Consensus researched nearly 580 online MBA programs around the country. Schools were ranked based on affordability, reputation and convenience.
“Online education is booming but not all online programs are created equal,” College Consensus noted in a message to honorees. “With potential online students wanting the best schools with the greatest affordability, most convenience, and highest ROI, College Consensus has put together the top programs in the country with these high standards.”
“We are honored to be recognized for this high national ranking,” said Steve Agee, dean of the Meinders School of Business. “We have a large number of students with non-business backgrounds, such as geology, engineering, medicine and other healthcare specialties, as well as aerospace. These students want to understand how business disciplines fit into their particular industries – such as marketing, finance, accounting, and the ability to read and interpret financial statements. With our AACSB, International Accreditation and an outstanding faculty, we provide an exceptional curriculum for these students to learn and apply current and emerging business practices to their respective industries.”
