Biography
Robert Dorman has been a librarian at OCU since 2006, supervising library cataloging and acquisitions. He provides research assistance to students and faculty in the social sciences, including psychology, political science, nonprofit leadership, history, education, criminal justice, and applied behavioral studies/counseling.
Dorman grew up in Jones, Oklahoma, and graduated from Casady School and the University of Oklahoma. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Brown University and an M.S. in library science from the Catholic University of America. He is the author of several books, including "Revolt of the Provinces: The Regionalist Movement in America, 1920-1945" (University of North Carolina Press, 1993) and "Alfalfa Bill: A Life in Politics" (University of Oklahoma Press, 2018). He greatly enjoys the scholarly research process and helping others navigate it.
