World House Scholars Program

The World House Scholars program aspires to be a premier liberal arts program for preparing students to engage in lives of social and ecological responsibility. A student with any major area of study, interested in issues of social or ecological justice, has the opportunity with this scholarship, to integrate those interests with their major.

All World House scholars participate in service learning projects; complete courses addressing issues of peace and non-violence, social justice, and ecological sustainability; and complete at least one approved international education experience while at Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø University. Students have studied in a variety of places, including France, Jordan, South Africa, Cyprus, and England. The scholarship includes generous support for the international study experience.

Up to 20 first-year students and up to five sophomores will be selected each year to participate in the World House Scholars Program.

All World House courses may be contracted for Honors credit. The World House senior project will be more practical in its focus so as not to duplicate the senior thesis experience that students will have in their respective majors.

Financial assistance through the scholarship includes $2,000 for the study abroad experience, and $500 each semester toward tuition.

To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete the application for admission.
